Overview
Female Endler's Livebearers are the larger, plainer partners of the vividly coloured males, silvery olive with a plump body and often a touch of colour in the tail depending on strain. The species comes from warm, hard-water lagoons in north-eastern Venezuela. They suit beginners wanting to breed Endlers or add calm, active fish to a small tank.

Final Notes
Females are almost permanently gravid and drop 5 to 25 fry roughly every three to four weeks, so plan for numbers or keep females only. Females can store sperm, so bought fish may already be carrying fry. Never house with common guppies, as the two species hybridise freely and pure lines are lost. Dense plants such as Java moss let fry survive. Hardy, lively and easy, they are a joy in a small planted tank.
